The All-America City Award, given to ten communities each year by the National Civic League, is considered the “Nobel Prize” of city awards.
This summer, El Paso was named as 2010 All-America City!!
The All-America City Award serves as a call to action to the citizens of El Paso to get involved in matters that are important to quality of life and make a positive impact in the community. In an effort to boost community pride and encourage involvement, the City of El Paso has announced a design contest to complement the El Paso All-America Award logo. Get involved by finding out more, look at their website: www.ci.el-paso.tx.us
Another way you can get involved in your community is to look after your local environment, try recycling at home or in the office, maybe help tidy your local park or walkways of rubbish.
