Leave filling the dumpster until another day and check out what’s going on in Cleveland by visiting http://www.cleveland.com/events/

Our top picks:

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum plans to celebrate its 15th birthday with a look back at the year rock’s king turned 21. An exhibit of photos taken of Elvis Presley in 1956 by Alfred Wertheimer will open Sept. 13 at the rock hall. The pictures offer a record of a defining period for rock and roll’s most enduring figure. They show Presley in public and in private as he started to break through nationally. The rock hall says visitors also will see a new display of nearly 30 Presley artifacts on loan from the Graceland Archives, including a shirt and belt the singer wore for 1970 rehearsals.

Dust off your rod and reel and head to the 10th Annual Family Fishing Derby Saturday, Aug. 7, at Rockefeller Lagoon. The event, 9 a.m.-3 p.m, includes Radio Disney, stream clean-up, chalk drawing and a knot-tying demonstration. The day is also a chance to learn more about Doan Brook and its watershed. Poles, bait and lunch are included. The lagoon is at East 105th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Call 216-321-5935, ext. 235

Atlanta GA - A little history and how you can help

August 19th, 2010 by The bookadumpster.com USA Dumpster Rental Team

Contemporary Atlanta is sometimes considered to be an archetype for cities experiencing rapid growth and urban sprawl. Unlike most major cities, metropolitan Atlanta does not have any natural boundaries, such as an ocean, lakes, or mountains, that might constrain growth.

During 1990, Atlanta was selected as the site for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Atlanta became the third American city to host the Summer Olympics. Following the announcement, Atlanta undertook construction projects to improve the city’s parks, sports facilities, and transportation. The games themselves were marred by numerous organizational inefficiencies, as well as the Centennial Olympic Park bombing.

The city has recently been commended by bodies such as the Environmental Protection Agency for its eco-friendly policies. In 2009, Atlanta’s Virginia-Highland became the first carbon-neutral zone in the United States.

To help support Atlanta as Eco friendly you should be looking to recycle as much as possible prior to disposing of waste in a dumpster or roll off. Here are the details of some local recycling facilities that you could contact to find out more:
